Your photos stay on this device

Basic previews resize your photo and process it in browser memory. We do not upload photos, persist them in local storage, or save biometric templates. Facial landmark coordinates are temporary and remain in the editor. Delete the photo or close the editor to clear it. You control any downloaded or shared image.

Optional Google sign-in

You may use basic previews as a guest. Google and Firebase handle optional sign-in. We store your Firebase UID, login provider and account creation time. Server-side records track look balances, transactions, request status and timestamps without storing photos. A pseudonymous marker derived from your verified Google account prevents repeat welcome looks. Your sign-in session is retained in this browser tab until you sign out or end the browser session.

Optional Google Gemini processing

When you agree to AI processing and click See My Naya Look, your resized photo, selected style instruction and any favorite style reference pass through our server to Google Gemini. Find My Best Styles sends your resized photo and chosen category to Gemini for optional style suggestions. We return results to your browser and do not persist uploaded photos, style references or generated images in our database or object storage. Suggestion usage counters limit requests without reducing your look balance. Google processes inputs and outputs under its Gemini API terms, with data handling depending on the service tier. Deleting your photo here clears our editor; it does not delete your downloads or any records independently retained by Google.

Payments and checkout details

Razorpay processes payments for AI look purchases. When you start checkout, we pass the name, email and mobile number available on your signed-in Firebase profile to Razorpay to prefill the payment form. You may enter missing details in checkout. We store order and payment identifiers, the purchased package, amount, currency, payment status and look transaction records to verify purchases and provide support. We do not store card numbers, CVV, UPI PINs or payment passwords. Razorpay handles payment information under its own privacy policy.

How we use your information

We use your information only to:

• create the previews and AI looks you request;
• manage sign-in, credits, the one-time welcome credit and purchases;
• verify payments and help with payment issues;
• detect and prevent misuse, fraud and abuse of the service;
• respond to your questions, reports and requests;
• meet legal obligations.

We do not sell your personal information.

Third-party services

TryNayaLook uses these providers, each under its own privacy policy:

• Google Firebase — sign-in and account records
• Google Gemini API — optional AI look generation and style suggestions
• Google (model hosting) — loads face-analysis models for in-browser analysis; does not receive your photo
• Razorpay — payment processing
• Unsplash — some inspiration photos
• Firebase App Hosting (Google Cloud) — website hosting and operational logs

No analytics or advertising tracking scripts are currently enabled. If we add any, we will update this policy first.

Data storage and security

Account, credit and payment records are stored with Google Firebase on secure cloud infrastructure. We use reasonable technical and organisational safeguards, including encrypted connections (HTTPS) and restricted access, to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

How long we keep data

• Photos, style references and generated images: not stored by us; cleared when you delete the photo or close the editor.
• Account and profile records: until you delete your account.
• AI usage records (account ID, timestamps, request status, daily counts): until you delete your account, or longer where linked to a confirmed misuse report.
• Payment, order and credit transaction records: for as long as required under applicable tax and accounting laws, even after account deletion.
• Anonymous daily service totals and the one-time welcome-credit marker: kept to prevent duplicate free credits.

Your choices and rights

Use Delete My Data to remove your Firebase account, profile and account-linked AI usage records after confirming your Google login. Anonymous daily service totals, the one-time welcome-look claim, and look and payment audit records remain to prevent duplicate grants and reconcile purchases. Deleting an account does not create eligibility for another free look. You can delete the current photo in the editor at any time. For privacy questions, contact trynayalook@gmail.com.

You may ask us to exercise the following choices. Statutory rights under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 apply as the relevant provisions come into force:

• ask what personal information we hold about you and how it is used;
• ask us to correct or update inaccurate information;
• ask us to erase your information (you can also use Delete My Data);
• withdraw your consent to AI photo processing at any time by not starting further generations;
• raise a grievance with our Grievance Officer (below).

To make a request, email trynayalook@gmail.com. We may need to verify your identity first. If you are not satisfied with our response, you may use the complaint mechanisms available under applicable law, including the Data Protection Board of India when the relevant provisions and complaint process apply.

Keeping the service safe from misuse

To protect people from impersonation, harassment or abuse of this tool, our AI usage records (account ID, timestamps, request status and daily counts, never photos) may be reviewed to detect and stop violations of our Terms. Records tied to a confirmed violation may be retained beyond the normal period where needed to investigate the report, prevent further misuse or meet a legal obligation. Photos of other people

If you believe someone uploaded or processed your photo through TryNayaLook without your consent, email trynayalook@gmail.com. You do not need to be a user to report. We review every report, and for impersonation, morphed images, or sexual or intimate imagery of a real person, we aim to act within 24 hours of a valid complaint.

Children

TryNayaLook is meant for users who are 18 or older, or who have a parent or guardian's permission. We do not knowingly process a child's information without a parent or guardian's consent. If you believe a child's photo or data has been used without that consent, contact us and we will delete the related account records.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post changes on this page and update the "Last updated" date. For significant changes, we will show a notice on the website.
